At MoneyPuzzle, your privacy comes first. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Our guiding principle: we collect only what the app needs, and the transactions you record stay on your device.

1. Information We Collect

Stored locally on your device

• Financial data: your expenses, income, categories, calendar events, and spending limit are stored on your device.
• Your control: this data belongs to you and stays under your control.

Processed on our servers

• Device information: a device identifier, device model, operating system version (iOS or Android), time zone, and app version.
• Subscription data: App Store or Google Play transaction identifiers, purchase tokens, subscription status, and expiration dates.
• Usage timestamps: last-active time, used for subscription validation.
• Coins and referrals: your coin balance, coins earned and spent, rewarded-ad completions, and referral codes shared or redeemed.
• Daily summary: once a day, your total expenses and income for the current month, any spending limit, your currency, and how many transactions you have recorded. These are totals only — the individual transactions behind them are not collected.
• Cashflow planning (Premium): the goals, assets (such as income sources, property, and deposits) and liabilities (such as recurring expenses, loans, and mortgages) you add in Cashflow — their names, amounts, dates, and rates — are stored on our servers so we can calculate your projection. To calculate it, the app also sends your current balance and the amounts and dates of your recurring calendar events; these are used for the calculation and not stored.

Advertising (Google AdMob and partners)

MoneyPuzzle shows ads via Google AdMob, which may also serve ads from its partners Unity Ads and AppLovin. Ads are non-personalized (contextual) and we do not use advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking. AdMob and these partners may process your IP address (for delivery, regional relevance, and fraud prevention), your device's advertising identifier (such as the Android Advertising ID), ad-interaction data, and basic device information. Where required (for example in the EEA and the UK), we ask for your consent before ads are shown. When you watch a rewarded ad, the app's device identifier is passed to Google so that Google can confirm the reward to us.

Analytics & usage data

We collect analytics about how the app is used — such as which features are opened, screen views, session counts, and crash and diagnostic information — to understand usage patterns, fix problems, and improve the app. This data is linked to your device identifier rather than to your name, and we do not use it to build an advertising profile of you.

We also record coin and referral activity and check it for signs that coins are being obtained without genuine use. Where we find abuse we may adjust or reset a coin balance and withdraw any benefit granted from those coins, as described in our Terms of Service. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting the service from fraud.

Other collection

• Third-party services (e.g. advertising and analytics providers) may collect limited technical or diagnostic data under their own privacy policies.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Subscriptions: validate premium status through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Device recognition: associate entitlement with your device.
• Service delivery: provide secure access to premium features.
• Support: help with purchase restoration or subscription issues.
• Advertising: display ads via Google AdMob.
• Improvement: analyze usage and diagnostic data to improve features and fix issues.
• Coins: operate the coins program and prevent abuse of it.
• Cashflow: store your goals, assets, and liabilities and calculate your projection.

We do NOT sell your personal data, and we do not store the individual transactions you record — only totals.

3. Data Storage & Security

• Encryption in transit: all traffic between your device and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS.
• Secure infrastructure: servers are hosted on Google Cloud Platform.
• Access control: strict controls limit who can access server data.
• Data minimization: we store only what the app needs to work — never the individual transactions you record.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with:

• Apple — subscription validation, payment processing, and install attribution;
• Google — Google Play subscriptions and payment processing, server hosting, advertising, analytics and crash reporting;
• Unity and AppLovin — advertising partners that serve ads through Google AdMob;
• Legal authorities — when required by law.

We do not currently share your financial information with advertisers or use it for advertising.

5. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to object to certain processing. Where you ask us to delete data we hold, we anonymise it: the records remain for statistical purposes but can no longer be traced to you. You can:

• Access: request a copy of server-stored device and subscription data;
• Correct: request correction of inaccurate data;
• Anonymise: request that we sever the link between your device and the data held about it. We keep the underlying records in a form that can no longer be traced to you or your device, and we may keep a one-way marker to prevent repeated abuse of the coins program;
• Delete My Data: from version 1.7.0, Settings → Delete My Data in the app removes the data stored on your device and anonymises the data we hold about it.

We do not send marketing communications. To exercise any right, contact us.

6. Data Retention

We retain server-side information while your subscription or device registration remains active, and for as long as needed to operate the app, produce statistics, and prevent abuse of the coins program. Once data has been anonymised it is no longer personal data and may be kept indefinitely for statistical purposes. On a valid request, data is anonymised within one month; where a request is complex we may extend this and will tell you, unless retention is required by law.

7. Children's Privacy

MoneyPuzzle is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. International Users

Our servers are operated on Google Cloud Platform and your data may be processed in regions where that infrastructure operates. By using the app you consent to such processing consistent with this policy.

9. Third-Party Services

MoneyPuzzle integrates with the Apple App Store and Google Play (distribution & subscriptions), Google Cloud Platform (hosting), Google AdMob with its partners Unity Ads and AppLovin (advertising), and analytics providers (usage & diagnostics). We are not responsible for their privacy practices — please review their policies directly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notice. Continued use of MoneyPuzzle indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
